For sale in foal to Sir James or with a breeding to him for 2014. By Armin out of Absinthe by Akzent II. Alectra's dam's sire, Akzent II, is regarded as one of the best sires of rideability in modern sport horse breeding producing many Approved stallions and expensive auction horses. At his stallion performance test at Adelheidsdorf, Armin scored 8.33 on his gaits and finished 7th overall. He was Grand Champion at Dressage at Devon and Dressage at Los Angeles and was twice AHSA and USDF Horse of the Year.
In 1991, Armin was long-listed for Pan-American Games, won a team bronze at the Sports Festival, and finished 11th in the nation at Intermediare I. In 1992 he won a team Bronze medal at the North American Young Riders Championship, ridden by Jessie Steiner. In 1995 Armin was ranked the No. 1 producer of USDF Hanoverian qualifiers and the third top producer of any breed.
Alectra was won her class and was Reserve Champion Filly at Dressage at Lexington as a foal in 1994. At her Hanoverian inspection as a three year old, she was the high scoring Hanoverian mare at the Hilton Farm (VA) site with a 7.5, making her elite eligible. She received 8's for neck, front leg, typiness and femininity, overall impression and development, and for the impulsion and elasticity at the trot.
Much to her surprise, she was put back under saddle and was prepared for the Mare Performance test in summer of 2005. She had gotten too big and round with her pregnancies to have tried it earlier, although she was wonderful to ride, and showed some talent in the jumping chute. She was fabulous in the MPT, winning it with a score of 7.2 and finally earning her well-deserved and long-awaited Elite Mare status! On July 14, 2008, EM Alectra was accepted into the main stud book of the GOV with a score of 7.3
SOLD!Congratulations to Martha Mitchell of VA!
