Horse Show successes in 2020
It was a very successful year despite Covid with Jocelyn Kraenzle doing an amazing job with all of the horses. We had just one dressage breed show since most (including Dressage at Devon) were cancelled, but we were very successful with very good scores. We were also able to get some of the young horses out to schooling shows for exposure.

Special Premium Candidate Shelene
sire  Shavane      dam  Special Premium Rhaisonette
Owned by:
Shelene went to a schooling dressage show at the Horse Park of NJ on January 27, 2024. It was her first ever dressage schooling show, first time in a dressage ring, 2nd time ever off property, first time being ridden in warm up with other horses. She won both classes with scores of 82+%, and was the high score of the show. Shelene went in like a pro and moved like a dream. She was well behaved loading, unloading and standing on the trailer while the other horse was ridden. Jocelyn Kraenzle did such a super job riding these two baby horses so they would have a good experience.

Shelene did the German Oldenburg inspection and Mare Performance Test on August 17, 2023 at our farm. She received an overall score of 8 for her inspection. She did super in the mare performance test, too, receiving a score of 7.7875 on her mare test. She received 8.5 in rideability, 8's on free walk, walk under saddle, trot under saddle, and 7.5's on free trot, free canter, and canter under saddle. We put her through the free jump chute, since we had it set up for the Hanoverian inspection and she jumped confidently with a good form the very first times through. She is a really fun horse to ride, in a perfect size for a lady rider, and the rideability for an amateur to have fun on. New video 1-4-24:

Special Premium Candidate Sassenach
 sire  Secret      dam  Elite Fhlora
Owned by:   Maurine Swanson
Sassenach went to a schooling dressage show at the Horse Park of NJ on January 27, 2024. It was her first ever dressage schooling show, first time in a dressage ring, 2nd time ever off property, first time being ridden in warm up with other horses, She received a 70% and a 75.192% in Intro C and training 1, respectively. Sassenach was a little unsure of herself, but the good stuff was spectacular. The judge loved her. She was well behaved loading, unloading and standing on the trailer while the other horse was ridden. Jocelyn Kraenzle did a super job riding these two so they would have a good experience.

Sassanach was presented to the German
Oldenburg Verband on August 17, 2023, where she scored and overall 9.0 for her mare inspection. She also did the Mare Performance Test. She was the high scoring mare for both inspection and mare performance Test, receiving 9's on free canter
and canter under saddle, and 8.5's on free walk, free trot, walk under saddle, trot under saddle, and rideability. Her total score was 8.65 and she received the Special Premium Candidate title.

Hanoverian Premium Mare Candidate Jhuno
sire  Jovian      dam  State Premium Santana
Owned by:   Maurine Swanson
Rolling Stone Farm had our American Hanoverian Society inspection on September 7, and although small, it was very successful and fun. Jhuno received 9's for head, neck, typiness and femininity, and 8's for saddle position, foreleg, conformation, trot and overall impression and development with a final score of 7.83. Jumping was not her forte, receiving a 6, and at 1/3 of the score, that was costly to the overall score in the MPT. Jhuno received 8's on rideability, trot and canter with a total score of 7.16. She was the top mare for inspection and the top mare for her performance test. She was awarded the Premium Mare Candidate title. She still has lots of maturing and filling out to do. I am excited about her!

Hanoverian Premium Mare Candidate Dhione
sire  D'Olympus (Don Olymbrio/Dancier)      dam  State Premium Fajana
Owned by:   Maurine Swanson
A powerhouse under saddle- not tall so suited for a rider not wanting a big horse. She is a pocket pony! Dhione was inspected and mare performance tested
on September 7, 2023, where she was named a Premium Mare Candidate. Her scores for mare inspection included 8's for head, neck, foreleg, hindleg, conformation, and overall impression and
development. Her final score was a 7.5. Jumping is not her thing (6), but her Mare Performance Test scores included an 8 for canter, and 7.5 for walk, trot and rideability. Final score 7.05.

Hanoverian Premium Mare Dhark Ruby
 sire  Diamond Hit      dam
Owned by:   Maurine Swanson
Dhark Ruby is now a Hanoverian Premium Mare. She did the Hanoverian MPT in Germany on November 25, 2020 as a three year old. Her scores were 7-8-7 (trot-canter-walk) for the gaits and 7.5 and 8 for rideabilty, and 6, 6.5, and 7 for jumping! She also got the Hanoverian Premium Mare designation. Thank you to Joerg Clasen for the great care and to his rider Karoline for the super presentation under saddle. Dhark Ruby has a half sister by Millennium that competed at the 2019 Westphalian Elite Mare Show in Germany. Dhark Ruby's dam, Avantgarde is full sister to the dam of Bretton Woods and her granddam Alina (by Romancier) is dam of Annabel who is granddam of Le Formidable! Anabel is also dam of the popular imported Dutch stallion Gaudi (by Totilas) and she is the dam of Chagall (by Jazz). This is a super mare family.  read more Read More...

Dhiamont Pendant
 sire  Diamond Hit      dam
Owned by:   Maurine Swanson
Dhiamond Pendant was named Dhiamont Pendant at her Mare inspection (German English crossed wires :-)) but the results were still good! She got 7 for trot 8 for canter, 7 for walk and 8,5 for riding and 9,5 from the test rider! For jumping she got 7.5 and 7 and 7.5 for jumping intelligence. She had a higher rideability score from the test rider than a MPT mare which is headed to the Young Horse Championships next week. She is registered Westphalian so ineligible for the Hanoverian award.
Thank you to Joerg Clasen for the great care and to his rider Karoline for the super presentation under saddle! I found out that Dhiamont Pendant has two licensed half brothers- Avicii by Apache who was Premium stallion at the 2014 Westphalian licensing and sold for $150K and a colt by Millennium who was licensed Deutschen Sportpferde in 2019. This is exciting news that validates my confidence in this mare's breeding value!  read more Read More...

more show updates- Sept 2020

Shiraz RSF and Ehlliot went to a schooling dressage show last Saturday, September 12, 2020. No lunging for Shiraz, just a few spins around for Ehlliot. Both loaded, unloaded and stood on the trailer quietly while the other horse was ridden. Neither horse had been in a ring with other horses, so the warmup ring was a real eye opener. Shiraz RSF: Training level test 1 64.808% with a few baby bobbles and a tough judge-2nd place. Training level test 2 70.862% (8 on gaits), 2nd place to a second level 7 year old that dropped down to show. Ehlliot: Training level test 1- 66.346%, first place. Training level test 2- 68.448%, third place behind Shiraz and the second level horse. Good boys and once again, super riding by Jocelyn! read more Read More...
