Premium Foal! Now under saddle and super fun and uncomplicated to ride.

April 2013: Shcrabble is a super mover and he is a sweetie, too! We love the way he lifts himself off the ground in the first steps- a real dressage prospect for an amateur or professional!

Shcrabble is a wonderful mover, and he has a very friendly personality. He has a very good walk and shows much elasticity, especially in the canter. It was very interesting to compare Shcrabble with Sharades. Both were by Sir James and out of mother-daughter dams. (Does that make them 3/4 siblings????) Both were Premium Foals!

New video 8/30/13. We had a hard time getting him to canter.....

Fall 2012:

Birth report: Alectra looked like a pumpkin with legs, so it was with great relief (for her and us!) that she finally foaled. It was pretty cool, since EM Alectra's grand daughter, EM Receptionist (out of EM Whallis Blue) had her Sir James foal just a day and a half earlier in the next stall.

SOLD! Congratulations to Lara of MA!

I love it when my gut feelings come true about a horse when they are put under saddle. Shcrabble is a solid citizen with a super, volunteer attitude and an easy-going outlook on life. He has three good gaits and is super rideable. He is a mild cribber but does not crib at all with a collar on. New video Feb 9, 2018:

Oct 4, 2017:

In Aug. 2017 after recovering from a hoof injury, he is back in work. We had brought him back in work in spring, and he was not quite right, so we gave him more time off. He is 100% sound, but not in condition yet. Still a very good boy- amateur friendly, requiring no lunging.

Jan 2016: He is still a bit green, being in the last group to be broke to saddle in 2015, but he is making rapid progress. He will be a fun horse to own and ride.
