Champion of her AHS inspection.

Rhussia's sire, Rotspon, the tall and elegant son of Rubinstein, won his stallion performance test in 1998 with an excellent overall score of 145,67 (148,82 in the dressage category). Like his father, the famous Rubinstein I, Rotspon is a very impressive horse with great rideability, outstanding temperament, movements and a high aptitude for dressage.  

He also shows good jumping technique which is highly above average. His overall score at his stallion test in 1998 was 145,67/ 1st out of 38; dressage score 148,82/1; jumping score 118,74/7.

Inspection and Show Results

At our GOV inspection in July, 2007, Rhussia was accepted into the main stud book of the GOV.

Rhussia was the top scoring mare at the 2004 RSF AHS HN inspection, with a score of 7.5. She received a 9 for her neck, 8's for head, frame, foreleg, conformation, typiness and femininity and overall impression and development. As a green broke three year old, she passed the MPT with a score of 7.27. She received all 7's and 8's for canter and jumping ability.

Selene and Rhussia look very good in their new home in Colorado. Selene is very tall, as many of the horses sired by Stedinger can be. She comes from a performance background both top and bottom, with 2 licensed stallions already produced by Rhussia.

EM Rhussia outdoes herself every time and this year's foal is no exception. Fhantom is really beautiful, he has correct conformation and he is a WOW mover. For sure, he is one of the best colts this year. He will be tall and has a really free shoulder with just enough knee to hint at passage and piaffe in the future, plus an active hindquarter required for a collection sit-down.

April 2013: We ended up gelding Ace after his spring evaluation. He still has super gaits and a very good mind and attitude, but he was lacking a little of the spark we look for in a stallion prospect. Plus, his half brother Dheputy is already licensed and standing here at RSF. Ace is a really AWESOME riding horse! He will be tall and substantial with the super rideability his dam continually produces as well as that from his well-known sire. Fall 2012: This colt has one of the best walks I've ever bred, and he is as sweet as they come. We've had good luck with His Highness- this is our third one. One is a super dressage horse owned by a happy amateur FEI rider and the other one just won the Young Hunter Under Saddle class at hunter Devon 2012, ridden by her amateur owner's daughter.

Instead of moving forward while laying down, Rhussia slammed backwards into the stall wall as she was laying down with this colt partially out. His leg was broken with a loud crack that will haunt me for many years. Beth and I delivered him, then gave him enough pain medicine and tranquilizer that he was pretty out of it until the vet arrived to euthanize him. He was a beautiful black colt with a small star. Rhussia's placenta passed right away. I surmise that she was having an extra strong contraction that caused her to lay down the way she did. My poor sweet baby....

Dhelmonico is very tall and leggy with those large ears from his HN ancestors. What a mover he is! He is probably the best foal of the group as far as hind leg engagement goes, which makes him uphill with suspension in his steps. Plus, he is as sweet as they come. He is very correct in his conformation.
