Chee Chee receives a Non- Oldenburg Mare of Distinction neck sash ribbon in August, 2009!

Chee Chee becomes an Elite Mare with the birth of her Hotline filly, Hhot Tamale. Hhot Tamale was tied for top filly honors at the AHS inspection July 20, 2008.

I needed another horse like I needed a hole in the head, but Jim and I visited Catherine and George Walker and I saw Chee Chee and Chalk One Up in their field and became obsessed with them. Their movement is unbelievable and so is their conformation. They can go to all three of my stallions in their pedigree and type. Thank you George and Catherine for making this possible for me. When spring comes and they are no longer hairy and dirty, I will post photos.

SOLD! Congratulations to Brooke of PA!

Inspection and Show Results

In August, 2009, Chee Chee was presented to the GOV and she was placed in their main mare book with a score of 7.42. She received 8's for head, trot and general impression. She was also awarded a Non- Oldenburg Mare of Distinction neck sash!

She was the high score Hanoverian mare with a 7.33. She received 8's for foreleg, correctness of gaits, trot free and in hand and 7's for everything else. Well, this is one of the best moving horses I have ever owned. On a normal day, she is a dream to ride. Unfortunately, the day of the MPT, she was fairly convinced that Martians had invaded her normally quiet farm. Because it was so hot, the judges opted to do the MPT indoors. People lined the open windows with just their heads visable above the ledge, and I think Chhe Chee thought that she was being watched by body-less people. Needless to say, her rideability score suffered. But she made it by the skin of her teeth (6.91), because of receiving 8's for all three gaits. The judges said on a better rideability day with a softer back, they felt they would have been able to award 9's. Oh, well, that is the chance I take when they are so green..Tiffany did a great job making the most of an uncomfortable ride, by the way. Chee Chee will hopefully have a foal in 2008 to fullfill the EM requirement, then we will decide to breed her for GOV foals or put her into sport.

Another awesome Dheputy foal- this one is a mini-me of Chee Chee at least regarding her markings. She is very correct and tall. Third foal of the year
Our trainer Jocelyn named her- Dheianira.
Deianira,or Deianeira, also known as Dejanira, was a Calydonian princess in Greek mythology whose name translated as "man-destroyer" or "destroyer of her husband". She was the wife of Heracles and, in late Classical accounts, his unwitting murderer, killing him with the poisoned Shirt of Nessus. Haha!
SOLD! Congratulations to our own wonderful trainer Jocelyn!

Shakespeare never disappoints and here is another gorgeous filly from this very successful combination with Chee Chee. The oldest full sibling to this filly (Sharpshooter, Shundance, Shydney and Stratego) all have successful show records up through 4th level and all are ridden by amateur riders.
SOLD! Congratulations to Jill of CO!

Shtratego was deemed to be a bit immature looking at his stallion licensing, but since he is so good to ride, and I already have 2 other Shakespeare sons that have been licensed, I have decided to geld him and offer him for sale as a riding horse.
SOLD! Congrats to Carlie of MD!
