RIP, sweet boy! 
                Fhandango presented with a severe colic, most likely small intestine, on the morning of July 14.  Pain meds did nothing and it was decided that surgery would be risky.  He was put to sleep- it was the right decision.  
                This colt is a full brother to Fhinancier, winner of the Devon Horse Show Young Hunter Under Saddle a few years ago and now a winning hunter doing the high greens and winning everywhere.  He has a huge canter, and has a very quiet and placid disposition.  Fhandango had to have his huge umbilicus removed surgically.  He has 100% completed his recovery time with no problems.  Foaling report:  Gharbo had this really tall colt easily, which is really amazing.   I don't know how this foal was squished inside her.   He is pretty much unfolded, but he has a really huge umbilicus that may need surgical removal.  Meantime, we are watching him like a hawk, giving him antibiotics and dipping that stump all the time.
