Awarded Special Premium Mare by the GOV at her inspection and MPT!

The birth of Shudoku in 2012 makes Rhosemary a Special Premium mare. Rhosemary was the resounding winner of the MPT held at our farm on July 13, 2010. She was awarded an Oldenburg Mare of Distinction sash, she won the under saddle blue ribbon and the high score free jumping blue ribbon and won the overall high score MPT neck ribbon and silver tray. She was awarded the title of Special Premium Candidate.

Inspection Comments

See the article I wrote about the day on the left side of the home page. Rhosemary was the resounding winner of the MPT held at our farm on July 13, 2010. She was awarded an Oldenburg Mare of Distinction sash, she won the under saddle blue ribbon and the high score free jumping blue ribbon and won the overall high score MPT neck ribbon and silver tray. She was awarded the title of Special Premium Mare, equivilent to State Premium in Germany. She received an 8.5 for free jumping, 8 rideability, and 7.5 for everything else with a final score of 7.87. All this was done as a green broke 3 year old.

Spring 2010: Rhosemary is under saddle and she can only be classified as a goody two shoes. Anything you ask her to do, she offers herself at the utmost. Three fabulous gaits and a 12 for rideability. 2007-New photos from the GOV inspection are up! There were so many good ones of the trot, it was hard to pick the best ones. She can really MOVE! Right after Rhosemary's dam, Fhlora was awarded the highest score ever given outside of Germany by the GOV, Rhosemary got rave comments and a premium award.Birth report: Our second Oldenburg filly of the year! What a beauty! I told Jim if this was a filly it would be a keeper, and the horse gods smiled down on me instead of my businessman husband Jim (who would like me to sell everything). Rhosemary was born right after we brought Fhlora in from the pasture. The poor girl was slow to lead in. No wonder- she was probably in heavy labor, poor girl.

Dhaimler developed pneumonia which we treated aggressively, but the bacteria seeded itself to multiple joints so the difficult decision was made to put him down. Birth report:Dhaimler was born in the evening around 10:30, so it was quite convenient for sleep afterward. He got right up, nursed, pooped and was active.

Dhisney is a tall, correct colt with really expressive movement in the trot, a good walk, and a sit-down canter. With these genetics and those conformation and gaits qualities, and his sweet disposition, he should grow up to be an FEI dressage horse.

This was a really special colt who was accidently kicked by his mother in the pasture. This happened on May 8, when he was just one week old. We saw it happen, and were there within minutes, but he was already in shock. He was dead within 30 minutes, most likely from internal bleeding. We are so sad.

Unfortunately, Shoduku was at a funny growth phase for both of these video sessions. He was starting to get butt high, affecting his balance so that he kept spilling from the trot into canter. Trust me on this one, folks. He is a really good one! It's fun to compare Shoduko to Sholitaire, who is also by Shakespeare RSF and out of Rhosemary's mother, Fhlora, making them 3/4 brothers.
