Named Premium foal at our GOV inspection, now entered into the GOV Main Mare Book and successfully completed the MPT

Dholce means sweet (as well as the first part of the fashion name Dolce and Gabanna). The name fits her well- she is as sweet and friendly as can be. She has a very good walk, and expressive trot and canter.

Foaling report: SURPRISE!!!!! Well, it was a busy week with the Young Horse Training sessions on Wed and Thurs with Whalter, clinic with Gigi Nutter here at RSF on Fri, and then the Michael Klimke clinic at Hassler with John and Shakespeare on Sat and Sun. All this on top of BRONCHITIS! No excuses, but you all know I am on top of foalings most times. Marion (Lhibrarian) had NO signs of foaling when I checked her milk before going to bed on Sat night. I came out early to check onb Amulet who is overdue, and surprise- a very smug looking Marion with a healthy, strong filly standing and nursing. These mares make me crazy!!! She is a little down in her pasterns, not to worry, but what a feisty strong CHESTNUT filly she is! There is chestnut in my water-Dauphin is black......

SOLD! Congratulations to Sharon Lewis!

Inspection Comments

Dholce was inspected and placed into the Main Mare Book of the GOV on September 9, 2014. At that same time, she did the Mare Performance Test, which was quite a feat, because she was REALLY green under saddle. She had been cantering just a few weeks under saddle! Her scores reflect this green-ness. She has come such a long way since then. It is a shame the Germans only come once a year to do the MPT....
Here is a recent video of her from November, 2014:

Here she is a few days before the test:
