Greetings Mo: I just wanted to drop you a quick line to share some news about Loerke's gorgeous son, Luminous, whom I purchased from Cathy Tucker Slaterbeck in December 2005 to be a show hunter. Last week during the first week of the HITS-on-the-Hudson seven week series, Luminous, aka Louie, was Champion in the Baby Green Hunter Division in his first over fences show. He is a lovely ride and is being show by well-known hunter rider/trainer, Jenny Fischer of River View Farm in Montgomery, New York. Louie is returning to HITS tomorrow for Weeks II & III before heading off to Lake Placid at the end of June to debut in the Pre-Green Hunter Division. He is declared by all who see him to be a glorious mover and is guaranteed the 1st place ribbon in the Hack. I feel so lucky to have this outstanding son of Loerke, and look forward to finding a brood mare so that I can breed a couple more of his babies. I will keep you updated and will send photos if I can manage to hold the camera steady and stop the tears of joy from blinding me as he's going around the course like the champ he is. Well, I hope this kind of news helps Loerke gain even more fame as a stallion. Judy A. Merritt Rhinebeck, NY
