Quite nice! Narrow blaze, LF sock, L&RH 1/2 stockings. As fancy as full sister Ghabor (Zza Zza) who was the top filly at her inspection.

Dam Piper received a score of 7.0 at her mare inspection and has been one of my best producers. She produced Ghlenlivet, a colt by Gold Luck in 1999 that the judges said "touched the ground only out of courtesy" and which was subsequently sold to a Grand Prix dressage rider. Piper's 2001 filly by Gold Luck, Ghabor, was chosen as one of the top foals at the 2000 AHS inspection. Ghlacier is her twin!

SOLD! Congratulations to Suzie Quest of Chapel Hill, NC! Suzie was yet another RSF customer to buy off of the videotape without seeing the horse in person until it walked off of the horse van. She is thrilled with her purchase, loves her personality and movement, and is looking forward to having her under saddle as her up and coming dressage prospect.

Show Results

Ghlacier and Lauren have had a very successful show season.

Ghlacier and Lauren were at the Stone Tavern Show where I brought Wyneth and where Sheldon (aka Somer Hit) was so successful. At this show, Ghlacier won her maiden/yeld mare class, and was named reserve chamion mare. This qualified her for Dressage at Devon for the Great American/USDF Championship where she placed third. Since Lauren and I are MAHB members, we both split the $1000 award sponsored by Paul Cohen and Ziplow Horse Insurance. This award was given to the owner and the breeder of the highest placing MAHB mature horse at the show. I won the full amount as owner and breeder of Rheporter, the highest placing young horse! With that $1500 and the prize money for Rheporter's win, it was a good return. This is the first time I ever covered my expenses at a horse show! Ghlacier was bought in 2006 by my good friend, Lauren Dearlove (owned by the RSF bred Gold Luck mare, Ghuyana). It was an impulse buy at an auction. Right after purchasing her, Ghlacier stepped on a nail and spent two months in the stall with a cast on her foot. Lauren reports that she recovered well, and she is now starting to ride her a little bit. On a whim, she took her to a breed show- The Too Hot To Trot show at Morven Park on August 4 & 5, 2007. The first day, Ghlacier was not to the judge's liking, but the second day, she got credit for her fabulous movement and won the maiden mare class, was reserve champion mare, champion mature horse, and reserve champion of the show! Not too bad for a horse that was a bit out of condition from her stall rest....Congratulations, Lauren!

Owner Comments

Dear Mo, Thanks for calling me about Ghlacier. She is a very nice mare. I raised her outside with another filly and aside from a bout of rainrot last winter she has had a super life. She has a kind eye, a beautiful face and her body is well proportioned. (She probably will end up under 16 h.) But the show stopper is her movement, it is just lovely, without a doubt the best of all my horses. I do not think I will get her to inspection/performance this fall. I will keep you posted if anything changes. Best wishes, Suzie
