For sale because I have kept a daughter (Shirlene) for my broodmare band. She sells open, or sold in foal to the stallion of your choice for a slightly higher price, or sold in foal to the stallion of my choosing for a slightly higher price, depending on the time of the sales inquiry. She is a top mare.

Whitesinvogue was purchase in fall of 2004. She was inspected at the Hedgeland Farm inspection. She received an overall score of 7.33 with 8's given for head, foreleg, typiness and femininity, walk, and impulsion and elasticity at the trot. At that same time she participated in the Mid Atlantic Hanoverian Breeders Club Mare Show where she won her three year old fillies class, and was named champion young mare with a final score of 7.8, and a 1A premium. Gerd Zuther states in The American Hanoverian magazine,"This was a very impressive filly: her trot movement was lovely, ground covering with lots of suspension. For the trot she received the well deserved score of 8.5, for her rhythmical walk she received a 7.4."

By Winterprinz, the son of the outstanding stallion Warkant, 2002 stallion of the year and the designated action trotter for the Hanoverian Verband at Celle, typifies the very best of Hanoverian breeding. Wintrerprinz is out of a states premium mare who was awarded champion 3-year-old mare of Germany. He received his elite status and breeding license at Medigan, Germany. Following his 100 day testing, Winterprinz was awarded first place in dressage achieving top scores in temperament, rideability, character and gaits. Winterprinz's performance highlights include: - 2004 Prix St. George horse of the year with a score of 72.125% - 2003 4th level USDF median score 70.000% - 2003 4th level CDS Horse of the year - 2003 4th level USDF/ABIC Champion - 2003, 2001, 1999 Highest scoring stallion at CDS Annual Championships - 2002 3rd level USDF/ABIC Champion - 2001 2nd level CDS and USDF/ABIC Champion - 1999 Futurity champion and 1st level CDS Horse of the year.

Inspection and Show Results

Vogue was presented to the GOV at our inspection in July, 2007 where she was placed in the main studbook.

Owner Comments

Well, good breeding runs true in a family. Weltinvader, Vogue's half brother by Welt Klasse is listed in 2nd place in the AHS USDF All Breeds for second level open with a score of 68.258%.
Weltinvader is mentioned in Bev Nahman's comments below.

Dear Mo,

I've just been surfing the net, and came across your recent purchase and inspection of Whitesinvogue, the filly that I bred out of my mare Vienna Vanity. I am so excited about the results of her inspection, as well as the MidAtlantic Breeder's Mare Show (Young Horse Grand Champion!), and also by the fact that you now own her.

I have followed (unhappily I must admit) Vogue's travels since I sold her. I really liked Vogue, although she can have a sensitive and opinionated personality, but I found that patience and steadfastness were the key to getting her to want to do what you want her to do. I really felt we had bonded when I sold her, and will admit that I was sick to my stomach when I saw the first person who bought her hit her with the metal end of a shank when she picked her up from my farm. I am so thrilled that she seems to have found a good home with you!

Because I got the smaller more refined foal that I was looking for, I rebred Vanity to Winterprinz after Vogue was born, and had a 2002 colt the following year. He doesn't even remotely look related to Vogue. He is huge (16.3 at 2.5 years), black going gray, very laid back, and has tons of suspension. He is much heavier boned than Vogue. He is so ugly and gangly at this point, that I haven't even tried to sell him, and will start him as a 3 y.o. before selling him. He is just now starting to fill out and look like a horse, and I think he will end up being quite the looker, but this past year, I just wanted to hide him.

Vanity's other foals have done very well. Her first foal, Woermina, was by Wolkenflug, and that mare has won about every breed show she ever entered, consistently scoring in the 80+%.

Weltinvader is her 1998 foal by WeltKlasse, and I still have him. I had him started at George Williams' barn, and George said he is the kind of horse that could be GP by age 8. He was shown last year at age 5 in 1st and TR levels, and was high point horse at nearly every show, with scores in the 75% range. In 1998, Weltinvader and Woermina won High Point Hanoverian Awards at 2 different shows, and Vanity won Produce of Dam, so her name was all over the AHS magazine that year.

Conatus, by Contucci, you may have seen. He is a tall (18.1 hand) chestnut owned by Lucille Sullivan
( Kundmueller) who takes him to Hilltop for training. When I emailed Lucille recently, she said she thought you trained with Scott Hassler also. Conatus took a 2nd and 3rd at Devon as a 3 y.o.

This year, I had Vanity's final foal. I bred her to Rosentau, a Celle stallion by Rubenstein out of a half TB mare., again hoping for a more refined, smaller horse, preferably dark and a filly.. But once again, I got a tall gray colt. He is quite spectacular however. Vanity is 17 now, and has had a very bad year, and in fact, I thought I would have to put her down halfway through the pregnancy. So I am finished breeding, but was so excited to see that perhaps Vanity's genes will be passed on. She is a very sweet and loving mare.

Please keep in touch. I assume Vogue is going to the broodmare band. If so, who will you breed her to?

Attached is a picture of Weltinvader at 5 y.o. (Vogue's half brother).

 Whitesinvogue  (Winterprinz-Vienna Vanity/Viena Waltz)
Designated an Elite Stute (mare) by the GOV in 2015 on the basis of her outstanding produce record. Shirlene was presented to the GOV on August 6, 2009. She was entered into their main mare book with a score of 7.16. She received 8's for the trot and general impression, and neck, very high scores for the GOV. She is really beautiful, and we are looking forward to her foal by Rubignon in 2010.
SOLD! Congratulations to Carolyn of MI!
