third ranked filly at our inspection

See the new conformation photo taken 9/06. Lhauren is maturing into a beauty. She is correct, sweet and a super mover. She could show on the line for dressage or for hunters with her very free shoulder and good activity from behind.

This filly is so feminine with a beautiful face and very free movement in the shoulder. Foaling report: Surprise! Well, just when I think I have things under control, I get surprised. Giadonna came in from the field with Jim on Sat. evening, she wasn't due for two more weeks, we had dinner guests coming and Chita was close to foaling. I didn't even check her. Wasn't I surprised to find a chestnut filly in the stall at feeding time on Sunday morning? Lhauren is a very tall, leggy filly. There probably wasn't any more in room in 15.3 hand Giadonna's belly. Lhauren will be MUCH taller than mom! All is fine. She was probably only a few hours old when we found her, and mom is experienced.

SOLD! Congratulations to Gig Pindar of Hazelton, PA!

Show Results

At the VADA/NOVA Summer Breed Show I held at Morven Park on June 18, 2008, Lhauren placed 2nd in the two year old fillies class with a 76.5% and 5th in the Hanoverian class with a 75.9%. Congratulations!

10/2007 Lhauren placed seventh at Dressage at Devon in the yearling fillies class. See the photos I took of her. Hi Mo. I hope everything is calming down from breeding and birthing. Lhauren and I went to Morven Park for the VADA/Nova Summer Breed Show. On Wed she placed 6th out of 21 in yearling fillies with a score of 74.3% (Kristi Wysocki) and then in the Hanoverian class she got a 1st (out of 12) with an 83.4% (Jos Sevriens). On Thurs Kristi gave her a 74.0% in Hanoverian to give her a 5th but Jos scored her only 70.8% in yearling fillies. Not quite sure what happened there, she looked good to me. She was quite the little lady and is maturing beautifully. She is a cuddle bug and mannerly. Have a good summer. Gigi

Hi Mo. Hope all is going well with you as you get started with foaling season. I think that it is appropriate that the first foal be named Chocolate. Chocolate is always good idea. Lhauren is maturing beautifully. She is just like her mother. She is kind and loving. Did you know that she placed 16th with a 74.3% with the AHS for weanling/yearling fillies for 2007? I happened to be bouncing around websites when I discovered it. It made my day. I only took her to two shows last year to give her some mileage. Didn't expect it. Have a healthy foaling season. I will be watching for pictures. Can't wait for those Sinatra babies..... Gigi

9/2007 Hi Mo. Looking forward to seeing you next week at Devon. Lhauren has been entered in "yearlings" on Tues and "Hanoverians under 2" on Thurs. She has been a joy to have at the barn. Very curious and trusting. She has been willing to try anything I have thrown at her (don't take that literally, ok?). She is also demonstrating a love for jumping. Had a cross-rail set up in the ring when I was free schooling her and she started doing it on her own for the fun of it. She has already waited for me to set up the jump and then take it on her own before I ask. Kinda neat....She also likes to play "my grand-daddy was a TB" When you get some time, tell me about her parents and their personalities. She is very expressive with her front legs...likes to touch everything with them and manipulate them. She will often rest her foot on the fence while eating. She can also put her front leg up straight past her ear when she is rearing and playing ( I didn't think that that was possible for a horse) See you soon. gigi 7/30/07 Hi Mo.
