Holy Cow! This is a talented dressage horse! Look for an updated video soon.
Hhamilton has been off the farm and behaves like a schooled horse. He is so well balanced, he is able to do counter canter circle in both directions. His trot is very good even though he is still growing. He will be very tall, but is as sweet as pie- perfect for the amateur rider.
Hhamilton is off to be broke and since he is such a sweet and easy horse, it is going quickly. He is tall (16.2 at 2 1/2 years old), and he shows a good balance with three very good gaits. We can't wait to get him home and start with his dressage training. I'll try and post a new photo. What a handsome boy!See the new conformation photo taken 9/06. Hhamilton will be a tall, substantial dressage moving powerhouse! I thought at first that his neck would have to lengthen to suit me, but look at how beautiful it is now!
Foaling report: Well, I knew that three were close. In 25 years, I have never had three in one night, and frankly, I hope to never have to do it again.
This is a beautiful colt, who cooperated fully by getting up quickly and nursing well. I had "ordered' black, and I got it!

This horse is amazing. He is already able to do counter canter, perfectly balalnced in both directions. His work ethic is amazing and his gaits keep improving. I almost can't keep up with videos to show his progress. This week he offered clean flying changes in both directions. John thought he felt balanced enough, so he just asked to see what he would do...Here is the most recent video:
We went for a lesson with Scott Hassler, and he and Lance were super. Here is the video:
Hhamilton comes out every day ready to work and is as uncomplicated as they come. His trot is bouncy and rhythmic and balanced despite him being a little butt high still. He will continue to fill out, mature and even out as he grows. His walk is very good with a big overtrack without losing the purity of the gait, and his canter is really super.3-09 Hhamilton is under saddle, still away at the breaker's barn. He has a trot with the right amount of knee for dressage upper level work and it has a lot of suspension. His canter is super and his walk is pure and overtracks 6" or so. We look forward to brining him home to start his dressage training- probably fairly soon. See the new photos I took at Kelly's.
