Wanda had a chestnut colt with much drama of pain after passing the placenta. I thought she was going to roll on him, but he was smart and scooted out of the way.

He is chestnut (what else could we have expected) with a nice narrow blaze and two even stockings behind. This colt has suspension in the trot and looks so much like his dad, we call him LJ for Loerke Junior.

SOLD! Congratulations to Karen and Carly Graziano!

Show Results

Lhitigator is shown as Litho, but he will always be LJ to us as a barn name. In 2008, he was the American Hanoverian Society Reserve Champion for Three Year Old Hunter Breeding! Congratulations, Carly and Karen!

6/2008: Devon Horse Show- LJ was second in his class in the PA breds and was 4th in his class in the open. Plus, Carly has shown him under saddle at a local hunter show where he was 4th. Not bad for a three year old! Congratulations, Carly! Update! LJ was named reserve champion PA Bred and reserve champion Young Horse at the Mileview Hunter Breeding Show 5/25/08. Carly also showed him under saddle (BTW- remember he is only 3 years old). He didn't pick up one lead, so he got a third and a fourth, but the judge commented on his super movement and great mind. The next show is Devon! Spring 2008: LJ is being shown in hunter breed classes to get him out to see the world, and he is handling it great and winning ribbons in the process. At the May 4, Kimberton Hunt breed show, he was named Best PA Bred and was Best Young Horse. At the May 11 show at Mile View Farm in Doylestown, PA, he was named Reserve Champion PA Bred. Carly is thrilled, especially with his great, could-care-less attitude. She broke him herself and is hoping to do some young hunter saddle classes with him.

Owner Comments

8/30/09 Hey Mo, LJ has been going to lots of over fences shows and doing very well, his lead changes are incredible when he gets them right but sometimes he likes to play too much through them and will miss. He was 3rd in one of his classes out of about 15 today! He's such a good boy! I attached some pictures of him at a hunter show and over a jump in his first jumper course EVER. He was entered in the For Sale class at Quentin but the day ran so slow that they moved it to the jumper ring and he shocked me with how relaxed he was. Gum and Scoop are getting bigger and bigger everyday it seems, I look at pictures of them when they first got here and I hardly recognize them.

11/2007 Hi Mo, Here are those pictures of LJ. Two are at the horse show that we went to, the one where I'm in the grass I had literally JUST gotten on him. So sweet huh? Carly 8/28/07 Hi Mo, Just wanted to update on how wonderfully LJ is doing. I couldn't have asked for a more mild-mannered 2 yr old! He does just about everything that a grown-up horse does now. He love love LOVES to have his muzzle clipped and he lets me do his bridle path too. We're working towards the ears, he just doesn't like the sound much right now. He lunges, wears a bridle and saddle, and will jump the jumps in the arena if you free lunge him. He doesn't care who he is turned out with, he just likes to hang out and eat. He even lets me put a big scary blue tarp on his head. He's growing into quite the big boy, he's now 16 hands with a butt that's about 16.2 and his feet are like dinner plates. I have sat on him and he gave me a "pony ride" not too long ago. The hardest part was getting him to move! He just looked back at me and said, "Are you sure you're supposed to be up there?" We are going to start ponying him along on trail rides and then when winter hits we'll leave him alone until sp! ring. Thanks so much for him, he really is a dream come true. I don't know how we would ever be able to sell him. Attached are some pictures from about a month after he arrived when he was still at Brigadoon. Say hi to Loerke for me. Thanks again, Carly Graziano & Family
