Glimmer was humanely destroyed due to the the infirmaries of old age. RIP, Glimmer....

Glimmer received a score of 8.0 on her inspection and was the high score mare at her inspection in 1993. Her sire is the famous Grundstein, also sire of Gold Luck. Her dam, EM Pik Koenigin (Pik Bube-SPS Salona/Saloniki) was champion mare, Moorpark, Calif., 1986, champion performance test, Moorpark, Calif., 1987, and Region 3 Champion, Training Level, Fla., 1996. She also produced Graefin (also by Grundstein) who was Champion mare with 8 on her gaits score at the Oklaoma inspection, 1992.

Glimmer never did the Mare performance test for her former owners. She is therefore only elite eligible. Glimmer is by Gold Luck's famous sire, the legendary Grand Prix Dressage Stallion Grundstein, who was imported to the US in 1985 after siring 13 fully approved breeding stallions in Germany. He has been the leading sire in the FN rankings among stallions in the top 10% of their age group in both jumping and dressage since 1988. In 1995 Grundstein's dressage index was 178 and his jumping index was 142.

Whasabi (aka Whipped Cream)
2007 Oldenburg Colt
sire
 Wonderful
dam
 Glimmer Grundstein/Pik Bube
Glimmer always goes well past her due date, but this foal was worth waiting for. He will be tall, and resembles his dad in looks and movement, although in a taller package. We originally named him Whipped Cream, because of all of his white markings, but his new owner wanted to name him Whasabi. That was a little difficult for me to agree to, because we had a colt this year that we named Whasabi and that we had to put down after a long, brave medical fight. After thinking a moment, I decided that the name Whasabi could live on in our colt formerly known as Whipped Cream. He will do his name proud. Whasabi (the first one) will look down from horse heaven.
SOLD! congratulations to Sara Schmidt of Glen Gardner, NJ. This is the second foal from Glimmer that Sara has purchased from me. She bought Whirlpool three years ago and wanted that same rideability in another foal.

Ahrtist "Artie"
2005 Oldenburg Colt
sire
 Agincourt
dam
 Glimmer (Grundstein)
Glimmer had a dark brown colt last night that will definitely be grey. He already has white hairs around his eyes and on his muzzle. He is very beautiful, with really long correct legs. He has a wide blaze and three whites. We have named him Ahrtist.
SOLD! Congratulations to Phoebe DeMott of Gilbertsville, PA!

2003 Hanoverian Gelding
sire
 Widmark

"Squirt" is a chestnut colt with four half stockings. Worth the wait after 388 gestation!! Expressive face and movement.
Congratulations to Sara Schmitt of Glen Gardner, NJ! Sara is an FEI rider and will be raising Squirt as a dressage prospect. Whirlpool's sire, Widmark is the USDF 2003 Horse of the Year for First Level. He was also the winner for the AHS in the All Breed Awards for First Level.
