I have a small group of about 6 dedicated dressage students. They ride their own horses, and I travel to them or sometimes they trailer their horses to me. In 2008, two of them ventured into the show ring regularly for a schooling show series at Bucks County Horse Park. Beth Lafrenz ended up reserve champion in Training Level, senior with a 66.49% on Bostonia, a horse I recommended she buy when my friend, Jeannie Poindexter was selling off some of her stock.
A new student, Tricia Keys was champion on Mr. Big. Jane Ward was fifth on Augusta in Intro Level with a 64.75%. This was her first year ever showing in dressage and I am so proud of her for conquering her show ring fears. Augusta also came from Jeannie.
My students continue to amaze me with their enthusiasm and dedication to their horses, and they are all so much fun to teach. I thank them for enriching my life every week!
