Judges were Uli Henschke, who is a frequent stallion licensing commission member for the GOV in Germany, Dr. Andre Hahn, who is the Assistant of Studbook and General Management of the GOV in Germany and Holly Simensen, Director of the Oldenburg Horse Breeders Society in America.
The day started with the free running to evaluate the trot and canter followed by the free jumping of 6 mares for the Mare Performance Test. Five of the mares required inspection, and this was done after the free jumping was completed.
All of the mares did well through the jump chute, showing confidence in their job.
Next, they were all ridden under saddle in the outdoor ring, followed by the announcement of the results.
Overall Champion, Champion Under Saddle and Champion Free Jumping was Rhosemary. She is a three year old by Rosentanz out of Fhlora (Fuerst Heinrich/Velton Third), bred and owned by me- Maurine (Mo) Swanson. She received an Oldenburg Mare of Distinction ribbon for her inspection score of 7.42, and was named Special Premium. Her MPT score was 7.87. She received 8.5 for free jumping, 8 from the test rider and 7.5 for everything else on the MPT.

Her inspection score was 7.16 with an 8 for the trot and an 8.5 for the walk.

She also received a Verband Premium award. Her MPT score was 7.43 with an 8 for the walk under saddle and lots of 7.5's.
Fourth place went to Chalupa, another three year old owned and bred by me. She is by Cabalito out of Whest Indies (Wolkentanz II/Renaissance). She received an 8 for the walk on inspection and an 8 for her free jumping in the MPT.
Fifth place went to MW Donnahall (Florencio/Donnerhall) owned and ridden by Jen Vanover and bred in Germany by Maria Ferneding.
Sixth place was given to Hhors D' Oeuvre (His Highness/EM Whallis Blue by Wallstreet Kid), bred and still partially owned by me. She was ridden by Lauren Casale, the daughter of Sue Casale, who will soon be her new owner.

All of the Rolling Stone Farm horses were ridden beautifully by our trainer, John Lee Amber and presented in hand by Quinnten Alston and Beth LaFrenz. Of course, we could not have done anything without the wonderful help from Beth Hart, Alaina Schmidt, April Lambert, Danielle Shoemaker and my husband, Jim. I am really proud of my mares, since all of them were just green broke three year olds.
Two mares without foals were inspected and placed into the main mare book. They were Davenport (2001, DeNiro/Andiamo) owned by David and Geralyn Guy of NJ and bred by BG Wahler, Germany, and the Hanoverian mare Lhuau (2007, Loerke/Bruderherz) owned and bred by me.
Five Hanoverian mares with foals at side were inspected and placed into the main mare book- EM Rheceptionist (Royal Prince/Wallstreet Kid), EM Lhibrarian (Loerke/Renaissance), EM Cheerleader (Cabalito/Rienzi), EM Fhashion Model (Florencio/Akut) and EM Rheporter (Royal Prince/Weltmeyer), who was awarded a Non- Oldenburg Mare of Distinction ribbon with an inspection score of 7.58 (8.5 trot, 8 walk and 8 overall impression).

I own and bred all of the twenty four foals were presented, and a remarkable 22 received premiums. Uli and Andre said that it was a foal crop to be proud of anywhere, even in Germany. The judges remarked on the homogeny of the ten Shakespeare RSF foals in their conformation and very good uphill movement in the trot with good walks also. Nine received premium. The one not receiving premium was still unfolding a bit. This makes me quite proud since Shakespeare RSF is a homebred too. They were also very impressed by the three foals from Fhitzgerald's first foal crop, which showed very good walks, conformation and movement in the trot and canter. All three received Premium. Other foals by Sir Wanabi, Rubignon, Ampere, Quaterback, Liberty Gold, Wolkenstein II, Welcome S (3 foals- all premium), and Fuerst Romancier were shown. The only one not receiving a premium was the Ampere colt who just didn't show much in his go around the ring. A few weeks earlier, I had decided to keep him as a stallion prospect based on the movement I saw then- an example of what can happen in inspecting foals! (I have not changed my mind about him, by the way!)
A Foal Of Distinction ribbon was awarded to the Premium filly named Fhantasia by Fhitzgerald out of Senorita, a Dutch papered mare who is sired by Lancet, the internationally ranked Grand Prix dressage stallion ridden by Emma Hindle of Great Britain.
Another Foal of Distinction ribbon was awarded to the Premium colt, Shtrangelove, by Shakespeare RSF out of EM Rheporter mentioned above. Uli said that this was a colt to send to Germany. Shtrangelove has been sold and will have a new home with an FEI rider after weaning.
Needless to say, it was a busy day, and we had the judges in the car on their way to the next inspection by 3:30 pm. Thank you to all of the volunteers and my staff who made getting this many horses in the ring look so easy.
This successful day and the licensing of my 4th generation homebred Somer Hit (Sandro Hit/Rotspon/Armin/Eisenherz I) by the AHS has made my month!
