The free jumping went really well. John Amber and Cara Klothe did a super job in preparing the mares for the under saddle portion. John did all of the riding for the test, while Cara, Dawn, Alaina Schmidt and Taylor got the next mare ready to go. Quinnten Alston did his usual outstanding job in handling the mares for the triangle and into the jump chute. Wanja Gerlach was the test rider. Judges were Katrin Burger, Felix Einhaus and Holly Simensen.

Top mare overall, high score under saddle and high score for free jumping and Special Premium went to Ghodiva (Gold Luck/EM Dhominica- De Niro/Rohdiamant).

Ghodiva with John, Quinnten and ribbons

She had only been cantering under saddle for about three weeks. She had also only been schooled through the jump chute three times. We just brought her back from the breaker last month.

She got an overall 7.99 with a 9 for trot under saddle, 8.5 for free trot and canter, 8's for free jump, canter under saddle and test rider, 7 for the walk.

Her full sister received the Special Premium last year.  Interesting is that Fhlora's half-brother by Belissimo M named Callaho's Benicio, was just in the world dressage news for creating quite a sensation in the FEI 6 year old class at the German Bundeschampionate, winning with a 9.4.
