EM Giadonna  1997 Hanoverian Mare
sire
 Gold Luck
dam
 Donna's Pik (Donnerhall/Pik Bube/Duft II)

Giadonna has the distinction of being the only horse my husband ever bought. I had requested a videotape of her going under saddle and was quite impressed. While I was in the hospital, Jim purchased her as a surprise for me. In 2001 as a four year old, she was inspected, scoring 7's straight across the board. She also did the MPT at the same time and here is where what I had seen on the tape came through. She scored a total of 7.61 with 8's for rideability, trot, and jumping ability. All the other scores were 7's. She received the high score MPT ribbon for our site.

EM Lhibrarian "Marion"  2005 Hanoverian Mare
sire
 Loerke
dam
 Rhococo (Renaissance-Adelblume/Adlerblick)

Another high scoring mare for the RSF broodmare band! Marion did us proud at the AHS inspection held at Rolling Stone farm on July 14, 2008. She was the top scoring Hanoverian mare and she was the top scoring mare in the MPT! For her inspection, she received an overall score of 8.0 with 8's for head, foreleg, hindleg, conformation, typiness and femininity, correctness of gaits and overall impression and development. She received a 9 for her walk and 7's for everything else. In the free jump chute, she did OK with a 7.5 and a 6. When lunging her for a short while prior to the under saddle portion, she somehow cut her leg. Being a resourceful (and determined) owner, I stapled the wound together and wrapped it so she could continue in the last group to go. In her under saddle portion of the test, she got a 9 for the walk, and 8 for the trot, canter, and rideability for a total score of 7.69. Not bad for a green broke three year old! She ended up in second place for the Walter Hartwig Award for 2008, an honor I have won twice and been in the top 5 every year since its inception with my green broke three year olds.

EM Rheceptionist "Phyllis"  2005 Hanoverian Mare
sire
 Royal Prince
dam
 EM Whallis Blue (Wallstreet Kid/Armin)

Rheceptionist was taken to the Hedgeland inspection in Waterford, Va on Oct. 4, 2008. She received an overall 7.33 with a 9 for head, and 8's for neck, typiness and femininity, impulsion and elasticity and walk. Unfortunately, she had pulled a muscle over her right point of the buttocks and she had been ever so slightly sore for a few weeks prior to the MPT. We just kept her in light work, hoping for the best. After putting on a show of her gaits in the ring the evening before the actual test, I was especially worried. Unfortunately, there was nothing left in the tank for the actual MPT, and her scores reflected this. She squeeked by with an overall 7.0 as a score, making her eligable for EMC status by the skin of her teeth. It is always so stressful for these really young mares to travel 3-4 hours in their first trailer trip, have their first overnight experience in a strange stall and then have to perform for their very first event off of our farm. I was proud she could hold it together, frankly. She was a bit crabby and this was reflected in her rideability score of 6.5- definately not where she normally would have been scored. She received and 8 for the walk and a 7.5 for the jumping. The following day, she placed second in the three year old mares class at the MAHB mare show. She was tired, but I had to support the show- I was show secretary and entries were light. Now all she has to do is produce a nice foal by Welcome, so she has had plenty of time to relax and recover from a very long weekend! There were horrible photos taken at the event, so I have nothing to show under saddle or over fences. The conformation shots are ones I took after the Mare Show.
