Stallion Foal Lists

Welcome S Foals

Before April 1998, Welcome was strictly a competition horse and was not used for breeding. The first crop of foals was born in 1999 and rewarded with a super foal report. One of his first sons Sledgehammer (damsire Ladalco) was third in the foal championships at Champion Arnhem. His first offspring are now six-year-olds and express a lot of dressage ability. His three-year-old daughter, Trix DDH (damsire Donnerschlag), won the ability test in Varsseveld in 2003. His son Scotch (damsire Flemmingh) won the Gelderse Championship in 2004 at M Level. The full sister of Trix DDH, U2 DDH was second in the ability test for three-year-old dressage horses in Varsseveld. A son of Welcome (damsire Weltmeyer) was sent through the stallion selections in Den Bosch 2003. Additionally in the U.S., a 2005 Welcome filly out of a Thoroughbred dam was chosen as the top foal at the American Hanoverian Society Idaho inspection site because of her good movement and correct conformation. Rolling Stone Farm is proud to announce that the first two foals bred by us by Welcome both received Premium Foal Awards at the German Oldenburg Verband inspection held at RSF. They are tall, leggy and super movers.

Below are photos of a few of the offspring we have been able to track down thus far.

 Welcome S

 EM Rheceptionist Royal Prince/Wallstreet Kid
Don't ask me how I got black from a chestnut stallion and a dark brown mare, but I'm not complaining! Matilda is a girly-girl with a priceless expression on her face of placid curiosity. Her movement is very good, and her conformation is excellent. Rideability is built in, genetically.
SOLD! Congratulations to Ann Sherwood of Manlius, NY

Whasabi (the first one)
2007 Hanoverian Colt
sire
 Welcome S
dam
 EM Alectra Armin/Akzent II
Whasabi got an infection in his shoulder joint, despite having an excellent IgG. I took him immediately to my friends at Mid Atlantic Equine Clinic in Ringoes, NJ. Despite three surgeries to drain and clean out the joint, and despite long term antibiotics and intensive nursing care, it was obvious that he was more and more in pain. I had the joint x rayed one last time. The infection had gone into the bone. He was humanely destroyed at one month old on 6/5. He was a sweetie through the whole thing. It broke my heart, but it was the only thing to do. We miss him terribly.

Whitman
2008 Oldenburg Colt
sire
 Welcome S
dam
 EM Acapella Arrian/Pablo
OK, I admit, after 25 foals, I wasn't paying much attention to the later ones that were born. When I brought him into the round pen to show him to Carrie, Whitman put on a show that was amazing! What a super mover. I was so surprised- not because I didn't think he had it in him, but that I hadn't seen movement from him from lack of looking at him. I am often surprised like this...Carrie will train him herself, and she has high hopes for him that I think will be realized for her.
SOLD! congratulations to Carrie and William MCCausland!

I am keeping this filly for a purely emotional reason. I tried so hard to save Whasabi, Whrigley's full brother last year, and I failed. Whrigley reminds me of him and I just love her. She is a super mover and a real character.
